Dog-Partner Training Programs

AMBASSADOR ASSISTANCE K9S INTERNATIONAL

We believe that high-quality dog-to-human partnerships are founded upon human knowledge & understanding of dog behavior and science-based dog learning theory, leading to the removal of dog-to-human communication barriers; since, in our professional opinion, most training issues are the result of dog-to-human communication breakdown due to the human lack of training in dog behavior & dog learning theory.

For all of our dog-partner training programs, we first consult with you on your dog-partner training needs in order to point you to the most appropriate of our specialized training programs.

In-person and/or by video submission, we observe & evaluate the dog's behavior, and the dog-to-human interactions as well as the quality of the dog-to-human relationship. In this way, we identify the underlying causes of dog-to-human communication breakdown for addressing through proper training.

All of our dog-partner training programs teach dog owners/handlers the material that they are required to know in order to earn a "Pass Grade" of 90 or above on the written & hands-on interactive "Basic-Handler Certification Test" that challenges one's knowledge of responsible dog ownership (e.g., humane handling & training, understanding dog behavior, applied dog learning theory,  veterinarian care, regular internal/external parasite control, dog laws & licensure).

SERVICE DOGS, ASSISTANCE DOGS, THERAPY DOGS, EMOTIONAL SUPPORT DOGS, and COMPANION-FAMILY DOGS. We work with disabled individuals, licensed therapy, counseling, & medical professionals, and families, offering dog-partner professional training & certification programs that forge a durable human-to-dog bond upon which all effective training outcomes rely.

We believe that YOU humans must be well-trained alongside your dog-partners, and to accomplish this, we guide you through an individually-designed, rigorous, step-by-step dog-partner training program LASTING from 6-months to 2-years (depending on the type of dog-partner training program, dog age and abilities, and handler abilities).

Our Dog-Partner Training Programs ...

I.  SERVICE DOGS--> for disabled individuals (1. Mobility & Balance.  2. Autism.  3. PTSD.  4. Psychiatric. 5. Medical Alert & Medical Responder. 6. Combinations of these Service Dog types).

II.  ASSISTANCE DOGS--> for disabled individuals with hearing or vision impairment (1. Hearing Dogs for hearing-impaired.  2. Guide Dogs for vision-impaired).

III.  THERAPY DOGS (for individuals and licensed therapy, counseling, & medical professionals).

IV. EMOTIONAL SUPPORT DOGS (for mental health outpatients).

V.  COMPANION-FAMILY DOGS (for families & individuals).

Each of our dog-partner training programs exemplifies excellence in superior training & handling standards for both dog and human. Concentrated in science-based dog learning theory, we teach the humans to understand dog behavior as well as how to decode and "speak" dog body language.

We utilize positive reinforcement & force-free, pain-free, humane and ethical training methods that foster healthy & effective relationship-building with your dog for highly successful training outcomes, and for happier & healthier dogs and owners/handlers.

Our weekly (in-person in your home and/or via internet and/or via email) training modules emphasize enhancement of the human-to-dog bond by fostering mutual trust & respect relationship-building with your dog for improved communication.
